The Freewing Ares 90mm EDF Jet represents a new era in electric ducted fan design — created for pilots ready to go beyond speed or scale and explore true 3D and post-stall aerobatics. Co-developed by champion aerobatic pilot Sebastiano Silvestri and Freewing Model, the Ares is engineered for extreme flight performance including hovering, torque rolls, cobra maneuvers, flat spins, and pinwheels.

At the core of its remarkable agility lies Freewing’s second-generation dual-axis thrust vectoring system. A completely redesigned nozzle structure cuts thrust loss from 35% in the first generation to under 6%, delivering vastly improved usable power for hovering and advanced aerobatics. Paired with twin onboard gyros and an adjustable CG ballast system, the Ares provides precision, stability, and control authority rarely seen in EDF jets.

Smart design touches — such as quick-release wings with auto-connect wiring, a bright seven-light LED package, and rugged CNC-machined landing gear struts — make the Ares both practical and powerful. Driven by a high-efficiency 12-blade 8S EDF power system and an advanced dual-gyro flight controller, the Ares combines brute force with fine-tuned handling to redefine what’s possible in EDF jet aerobatics.
