Three years of thorough testing has helped to develop a sailplane capable of contest winning performance in virtualy any condition and the Prodigy has proven this by capturing an impressive number of contest wins over the past years including 4th place in the 2 meter class of the 1985 AMA Nationals.
The Prodigy's high aspect ratio wing utilizes the ultra-efficient Selig 4061-096-84 airfoil which was computer designed for sailplanes of this size using the Eppler computer code. This great wing, along with the clean aerodynamic design of the Prodigy combine to producs a sailplane with an outstanding spped range, an incredible L/D and exceptionnally smooth flight characterictixs. Three qualities seldomly found in the same sailplane.
The Prodigy wing features carbon fiber reinforced spruce spars (included) to produce a very strong, flexible and light weight structure which along with the 1/4" steel joiner tod, will stand up to many repeated "zoom" launches.
