After nearly a year of testing over nine prototypes, me and my team of test pilots finally came down to what we believe to be the perfect all around freestyle frame.
The Vannystyle frame is designed for superior flight performance and durability, with several key features:
Center of Gravity: It offers the option to mount the battery in a "toilet tank" style, moving mass closer to the center of gravity for better flight performance. Additionally, there's flexibility to mount the battery conventionally if preferred.
Durability: The frame is robust, featuring 5.5mm thick arms and 2.5mm plates. It's constructed using a mix of steel and titanium hardware, balancing durability with a light weight of just 125 grams.
Ease of Building and Repairability: Designed with a racing pilot's needs in mind, the frame emphasizes quick and easy field repairs. It utilizes a split deck design, allowing for straightforward swapping of the front and back plates without full quad rebuilds. A unique 'puzzle piece' feature prevents the frame from falling apart when the bottom plate is removed, facilitating faster repairs.
Preinstalled Hardware: The frame uses preinstalled M3 pressnuts instead of locknuts for both the arms and the stack screws, simplifying the building and repair process.
Optimized Flight Feel: The frame includes two vertical carbon fiber plates between the bottom and mid plates, enhancing stiffness and flight feel. This design also ensures that the frame retains its 'new' feel for longer by preventing the arms from becoming loose, ensuring consistent flight performance even after multiple crashes.
Overall, the Vannystyle frame is designed to offer an excellent balance of flight performance, durability, and ease of maintenance, making it an ideal choice for both racing and freestyle drone flying.
Great Mounting Compatibility
In addition to all of these features, the Vannystyle frame has both 20x20 and 30x30 M3 holes for mounting electronics, as well as 20x20 M2 and 25.5x25.5 M2 mounting that suits all the latest Digital FPV transmitters such as the Caddx Vista, and Walksnail video transmitters.
