This replica of a German night fighter from World War II was developed, after the convincing experiences with "Skyraider", for propulsion with two 400-series motors with gearbox, fed with a 10-cell battery of 1.7 Ah capacity. The Panasonic SP and EX cells allow an extension of the flight time of approx. 8 minutes by another 1-2 minutes. Flying this model is a treat - beautiful, fast, agile and yet uncritical to fly. Experienced modellers who are willing to experiment can increase the performance of the model even further by using 12 cells - see 'Suitable drives'.
With a wingspan of 1400 mm, the two large engine nacelles and the double rudder, the wing was designed to be liftable. The ABS parts (cowling, transition fuselage-wing, engine-nacelle-wing) were designed with great attention to accuracy of fit. The transparent cockpit canopy bears the marking lines of the metal frame of the original aircraft. The GRP fuselage and the engine nacelles, also made of GRP, are extremely lightweight.
Wing and tailplane are made of balsa, with many precisely manufactured positions. Paper is used for the covering - if only for the camouflage painting. The landing gear was deliberately omitted, as the extra weight and above all the high air resistance would have a negative effect on the flight characteristics. With a static thrust of over 1 kg (depending on the drive), hand launches are no problem. The battery can be changed via the removable canopy.
