The Aloft Hobbies Gentle Lady EVO is a modernized, laser-cut balsa evolution of the iconic classic thermal soarer. Re-engineered with modern aerodynamics and precision laser manufacturing, it features Dr. Mark Drela’s high-efficiency AG-series airfoils with half-ribs for enhanced lift, superior penetration, and floaty thermal performance. With a 1,400 mm (55.12 in) wingspan and an overall length of 736 mm (28.98 in), this glider achieves an ultralight all-up flying weight of around 250 g (8.82 oz), fitting neatly into the sub-250g category. Gone are the days of messy rubber-band attachments; the Gentle Lady EVO introduces an innovative two-piece plug-in wing with an interlocking root system alongside self-aligning fuselage bulkheads for a fast, dead-straight build. Highly versatile, it can be built as a pure thermal glider or fitted with a compact 28 mm (1.10 in) motor-in-spinner setup for electric launch.
