The Matador 39" is a durable EPP foam slope-soaring mini flying wing designed for high performance in a wide range of wind conditions. Weighing about 360 g (13 oz) ready to fly, it combines low-wind stability with high-wind speed and is tough enough for slope combat and rough landings.
The $60 kit includes everything needed to build the airframe: EPP cores and elevons, laminate covering, fins, carbon spar, horns, and pushrods. The laminate uses a heat-activated adhesive (no spray glue required). Its thin, high-penetration airfoil hides the radio gear and, with large elevons, provides very fast roll rates. The dual fins improve stability and aerobatics. The lightweight yet strong EPP construction makes it ideal for rocky or bushy slope sites.
Typical electronics include MG90 servos, a small receiver, 1–5 A BEC, and a 1000 mAh 2S battery, which balances the wing without extra nose weight. Build time is about 4 hours, and the design allows very light wing loading (~6 oz/ft²) while remaining extremely durable.
