Known as the Howard DGA-6 at the factory, everyone else recognized the original aircraft as simply, Mr. Mulligan. A combination of internal bracing and external “smoothing” made it a pioneer in modern aerodynamic design. During the mid-30’s, Mr. Mulligan earned the dual distinctions of being the only plane ever designed solely to win the Bendix Trophy – and the only one ever to win the Bendix as well as the Thompson Trophy in the same year!
ElectriFly has recreated the all-time racing great in detail as an all-electric, impressive 52” sport scale flyer. Painted fiberglass wheel pants, landing gear, struts and cowl help reproduce the clean, simple silhouette in fast assembly time. Hidden screws inside the cowl ensure firm attachment and unblemished scale looks. Molded-in cowl blisters and a replica “stand-in” for the original’s Pratt & Whitney Wasp radial contribute to authentic detail and outstanding good looks. Working flaps allow short take-offs and slow approaches and may be installed fixed or functional. Power up your Mr. Mulligan and score your own trophy!
