The MicroMAX is a project initiated by Henning Schmidt (Sansibear.de), designed by Christophe Bourdon, and manufactured by Anton Ovcharenko (OA Composites). The idea came initially from the 1m hand thrower called Strike, but this time optimized for the slope, with the possibility to double the flying weight, while using the latest construction techniques in F3K competition, with materials such as UHM (ultra-high modulus) carbon on a machined Rohacell core.
The MicroMax is a 1.15m micro F3F glider: a micro glider with a 1.15m wingspan, full composite, designed for slope flying. Its one-piece wing makes it rigid in turns and acrobatics. The wing is superb, carbon molded on a rohacell core (full wing)/
The fuselage is also molded in carbon with the front in fiberglass for the 2.4GHz reception. The fuselage is narrow but can be ballasted to double the weight of the model! The model supports without problem the classic DS by being ballasted.
