The TechOne Yak 55 is designed specifically for 3D aerobatics, offering excitement for experienced pilots while remaining approachable for those learning the fundamentals of 3D flight. Its rugged EPP foam construction is exceptionally durable, capable of handling hard impacts without damage. This toughness gives new pilots the confidence to fly low and push their limits, accelerating skill development through better visibility and control awareness.
The aircraft features generously sized control surfaces with live hinges, delivering impressive control authority and wide throw capability. For pilots not yet ready for extreme movement, the Yak 55 can easily be dialed back using the included smaller control horns and radio adjustments. Although labeled as an ARF, the model comes complete with motor and servos installed—only a receiver and a 2S 400–500 mAh LiPo are needed to fly. Assembly is quick and straightforward, taking roughly 30 minutes from box to air.
